After a four-year stint in the Coast Guard as an active reservist, Maria enrolled at CSU-Hayward where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration; then accepted an internship at KPIX Channel 5 for six months. Upon completion of her internship, a Spanish TV station hired her as an Account Executive. There she was successful in pursuing Anglo clients to advertise to a Spanish speaking audience. One of her clients, a mortgage broker that saw her as a perfect fit for his company, hired and trained her as a loan officer. Thus, began her real estate career!
Maria Armenta first worked as a Loan Officer then switched to home sales, and trained at Century 21 El Camino in Santa Clara. She worked there for two and half years, and moved to Windermere in Saratoga. There she realized that her life goal was to own her own business and on January 4, 2002, she started Bay Area Real Estate Company. She looks forward to growing her business in the coming years. With a vast knowledge of Bay Area housing, Maria is uniquely skilled at helping both buyers and sellers. My sales territory is wherever you want to live in the Bay Area! A Bay Area resident since 1977, Maria has listed and sold properties in many neighborhoods of Santa Clara, San Mateo, and AlamedaCounties. A licensed broker since 1999, possesses several professional designations; she prides herself in staying current through continued education, planning ahead, and adapting to change. She has a certificate on Mediation and Negotiation from Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution from PepperdineUniversity, School of Law Maria enjoys cultural events, swimming, hiking, and bicycling. She loves to cook and have small dinner parties. She is also very proud of her Colombian heritage and still reads in Spanish so that she’ll never forget her native language. She also volunteers for several organizations throughout the Bay Area. |
